This varies from sandwich to sandwich and salad to salad. Then when it comes to pizza sauce, it must be light and sweet. If a pizza has a thick red sauce on it, out comes the napkin and I wipe off before eating it.
I had some chicken strips in the freezer that were marinaded then vacuum sealed. I wanted to make this salad using them but I also wanted to add another grilled item and I thought: tomatoes, perfect.
I love grilled and stewed tomatoes.
I seasoned my tomato slices in oil, salt and pepper. I put the chicken strips on first since I knew they would take just a tad longer to cook. With the strips half done I added the tomatoes to the grill.
I got a slight sear on each side and took them off. My salad was made up of grilled chicken, grilled tomatoes, feta cheese, mixed greens, cucumbers and a Tuscan balsamic dressing.
