Day Eighty-Nine: Venison Steaks

As I mentioned before, my friend Tommy’s family excels in the field of deer killing.
I’m only all too happy to take advantage of their skills.
Whereas last week was ground venison, this week it was steaks.
Because venison meat is so lean, I had no idea what the cut was.
Also, it being Sunday night, I was beat/kinda on the drunk side. So I simply seasoned them generously with salt and pepper and gave them a good sear on each side; about three minutes per.
They were good.
In retrospect however, I wish I had made a sauce.
Something sweet would have been a nice compliment. Oh Sunday, you son of a bitch.
Come back, folks.
We’ll see you then.
