Day 86- Surf and Turf

I started my day with a Strawberry Surf Rider from Jamba Juice then went to Michael’s, the arts and crafts store.
At Michael’s I grabbed an angel for our tree, a new screen for printing and some white fabric ink. I totally forgot about the gift card I had from there but remembered my 40% off coupon, so that’s cool.
After I got all that done I went to Bank of America to exchange all my rolled change for cash, what a hassle! They unrolled my coins because I can’t count, according to them, poured it all into a plastic bag and I have to send it out!!!
Send it out where? It’s just $50+ and I wanted to direct deposit it into my savings. Whatever.
Then it was time to hit the gym. I killed it on the tread mill for 55 mins, did about 120 110 lb leg presses and left a sweaty mess.
I hit up the Whole Foods across the street to grab some ingredients for the next couple days of grilling. For tonight I grabbed three scallops, a beef tenderloin and some mixed greens.
I soaked the tenderloin in a red wine marinade for around an hour; the recipe called for 8 hours but I didn’t have that kinda time.
As for the scallops, I decided to give the cast iron skillet another try!! I am determined to master it.
But I didn’t! I don’t think I used enough coals or something. I did make a delicious red wine sauce out of the marinade that was perfect with the beef.
I added some mixed greens with a balsamic dressing on top and the meal was completed. I also poured me a tiny glass of red wine to help me relax.
Be back tomorrow!
