Day Seventy-Eight: Jenny’s birthday dinner!

Sorry we’re dragging with the posts, folks.
We’ve been busy/lazy.
Our friend Megan wanted to have Jenny’s birthday party at her place.
Jenny loves steak.
So when I asked her what cut she wanted me to grill, she said hanger steak.
Hanger, much like the tri-tip I did awhile back is another cut that used to be a butcher’s dinner, but has now gotten quite popular.
For dinner, we had a whole red fish, hanger steak with chimichurri (Argentinian herb sauce), spicy mashed potatoes, mac ‘n cheese, taco dip, cake, and alcohol.
I meant to take a picture of this feast, but I was in a super important conversation probably about food or music with our buddy Eric while it was all cooking; then in a profound discussion about, most likely, television or stupid people we know while we were eating.
So I got a good picture of the bloody cutting board we ate way too much steak off of.
Trust me, it was delicious.
Happy birthday to Jenny!
