Day 72- BBQ Chicken Breast

I’ve been trying to space out BBQ chicken dishes as best as possible. I don’t think I’ve done one since the BBQ chicken salad. But I’ve been craving some BBQ chicken so on Friday I gave in.
The night before, I took a single split breast with the bone out of the freezer. By 3:30 pm Thursday afternoon it was time to start the grill.
While I waited for the coals to heat up I chatted with our downstairs neighbor. Turns out he’s a huge fan of Coobah, Kurt’s restaurant!
I really love getting a good char on the skin and the rib ones. Once the skin had some blackened char I flipped it and did the same to the back. Then I closed the lid to speed up the cooking process. I was running out of time.
I had to be at work at 6:00, I usually leave the house at 5:10, at the very latest. The chicken was done at 5:05!
I didn’t have time to eat it at home so I took a piece with me to work.
Around 8:00 I was starving and decided to heat up my chicken in the microwave for just a couple of seconds. But when I lifted the lid to my Tupperware the chicken came flying out and landed on the floor!
I froze and just stared at my delicious dinner lying on the dirty bar floor. I guess the sticky BBQ sauce stuck the chicken to the lid.
Luckily I still had one piece at home I could have for lunch the following day!
Thanks for reading.
