Boy o boy are Kurt and I happy to have our new oven. We are back to cooking our most missed food, the baked chicken. Tonight I made one just in time for Kurt to enjoy when he came home from work.
I still had to grill, so I chose to roast a whole red pepper on the grill, one of my favorite healthy sides. I also made some sauteed spinach, another favorite.
I’ve decided to buy a booth a new local shop called Local Goods Chicago. I usually do arts and crafts fairs a couple times a year but have recently shied away from such events.
However, I saw a neat shop opening up that was looking for local artists and I decided to join.

Packing my designs- http://www.etsy.com/shop/JDcheck it out.
So, while the chicken was baking I was able to tag and organize my items. I went to Target and got some cute decorative paper to make my tags. In the past I’ve just used business cards as tags or screen printed my own logos.
On top of finally get back into selling my art I also had about two weeks worth of clean laundry piling up.
Since the only thing I was grilling was a pepper I started the chicken about an hour before I started the grill.
I started the pepper on the grill but finished it in the oven, soaking up the chicken dripping. MMmmm, so good!
With peppers almost done in the oven I started the spinach, which only takes two/three minutes. Then dinner time, at 12:30 in the morning!
I’m surprised Kurt and I didn’t eat the whole damn bird!
Thanks for reading!
