Day 56- Garlic Steak

Soon we’ll be grilling in the snow! We got a light dusting Monday night! As I cooked tonight, the temp was a mere 37 degrees, brrrrr.
So, to warm me up I picked up a pound and a half porterhouse
and some veggies. I went with my moms marinade: salad dressing. She would marinate hers in Italian dressing most of the time but I went with a roasted garlic dressing.
I put the steak and about half a bottle of the dressing in a bag and let it marinate for a little over an hour. Of course I wanted some veggies to go with my steak. I cut up some red pepper for grilling and some onion.
The onions I wrapped in foil with butter, salt and sugar, the onions went on the grill first. Next, the red pepper, and finally the steak. I like my steak very rare but I was folding clothes and lost track of time.
The steak was mostly medium-rare, which is fine, but not as bloody as I like it. While the steak was resting I steamed some spinach with a little salt and butter.
With my giant meal in front of me I plopped on the couch and watched the newest episode of Bones and enjoyed my evening. By the end the only thing left was the t-bone!
